Quality Management & Control

Large scale manufacturing calls for ongoing product inspection. Quality Control began with limited product line “audits.”  Those audits have evolved into sophisticated Quality Management Systems with tiered review strictures, thorough investigation of significant irregularities and mandatory documentation requirements.

Window/door manufacturers face a mandate for QMS, to include an ongoing quality control process, in the form of:

–  The structure of certification requirements and the call for “best practices.”

–  Product defense in response to extrapolation of anecdotal product irregularities.

– Verifiable substantive data demonstrating product conformity with specifications can overcome widespread liability claims and a risk of de-certification.

–  QMS is the real-time information source for maintaining production within specification.

Tolerances in materials, equipment and workmanship used in manufacturing create a dynamic challenge to maintaining production of products that meet all certified test values. Create the QMS, use it and it will pay for itself.
